The Australian and New Zealand Orthopaedic Research Society (ANZORS) is a dynamic society that attracts researchers and clinicians in the field of Orthopaedics from Australia and New Zealand. We now have over 150 members from around the region, and continue to grow every year. Since its inception, ANZORS encourages students and other young investigators in the field to present their work at a national forum at our annual scientific meeting.

The 2024 ANZORS meeting will be held in Melbourne from 1-4 December 2024 and it will be a combined meeting with the Australian & New Zealand Society of Biomechanics (ANZSB).

What does ANZORS stand for?

Since its inception, ANZORS encourages students and other young investigators in the field to present their work at a national forum at our annual scientific meeting.

What is the mission or purpose of ANZORS?

To promote, support, develop and encourage research in musculoskeletal disorders, diseases and injuries and in their management. To provide a forum for the sharing and dissemination of knowledge in these fields.

How does ANZORS support early career researchers or students in its field?

Strong support from industry allows us to provide numerous travel grants to young investigators to attend the annual meeting. We would encourage all those in the field of orthopaedic research to attend our annual scientific meeting, as we are sure you will find it an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Are there any upcoming initiatives or plans that ANZORS has announced?

The 29th annual ANZORS (Australian & New Zealand Orthopaedic Society) Conference will be held from 1 to 4 December 2024 at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, VIC, Australia. It will be the first ever Combined Scientific Meeting with the Australian and New Zealand Society of Biomechanics (ANZSB).
