I am Professor and Head of the Orthopaedic Biomechanics research group at the University of Melbourne (UoM). I completed my PhD and postdoctoral training at the UoM, focusing on musculoskeletal biomechanics and shoulder arthroplasty. I am now Deputy Director for the ARC Training Centre for Medical Implant Technologies, and an ARC Future Fellow in the Dept of Biomedical Engineering. My research program focuses on musculoskeletal modelling, human movement biomechanics, and AI/data analytics. I am a passionate advocate for musculoskeletal research, having served on the ANZORS Executive (Treasurer, 2018-2020) and as a current member of the International Combined Orthopaedic Research Societies (ICORS) steering committee. These roles have given me a unique insight into the successful management and governance of research societies, and strategies to grow and promote orthopaedic research excellence across disciplines.
DR.
STUART CALLARY
SECRETARY
Research Fellow, Centre for Orthopaedic and Trauma Research (COTR), University of Adelaide (Adelaide, SA)
Tel: +61 (08)70741997
Email: stuart.callary@adelaide.edu.au
Web: researchers.adelaide.edu.au/stuart.callary
I lead the Orthopaedic Safety Quality Assurance and Research (SQAR) unit across The University of Adelaide and Royal Adelaide Hospital. My current Early-Mid Career Research Fellowship is funded by The Hospital Research Foundation Group (2022-2026). My research program has focused on improving the outcomes of patients undergoing hip replacement surgery. My projects monitor implant performance and patient outcomes through the development and application of medical imaging and digital technologies. In particular, I am a leader of Radiostereometric Analysis (RSA) methodology and applications. RSA is a 3D radiographic measurement technique, to accurately monitor implant movement, spinal fusion, tendon lengthening and fracture fixation. My motivation for joining the ANZORS committee is to provide a positive learning experience for researchers at various stages of their career.

DALE ROBINSON
TREASURER
Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Melbourne (Melbourne, Victoria)
Email: d.robinson@unimelb.edu.au
Web: unimelb.edu.au/dale-robinson
I am a biomechanics researcher at The University of Melbourne and currently work in the ARC Centre for Medical Implant Technologies. I have a passion for developing experiments and models that advance knowledge in the musculoskeletal system and currently work with leading clinicians and medical device companies to automate the design of personalised devices in orthopaedics. I have been an active member of ANZORS since 2014, where I have received exceptional mentorship and networking opportunities and am a previous winner of the David Finlay ECR award. I am enthusiastic about seeing ANZORS thrive into the future, whilst maintaining its inclusive values that support a productive interdisciplinary research network across Australia and New Zealand. I am thrilled to nominate for the position of treasurer in the ANZORS executive, from which I will be committed to ensuring the sustained strength and growth of the society.
